In 1982, as the world spun to the beat of The Police's cassettes, fourteen-year-old Chloe was an anomaly in the sleepy Colombian town of Villa Tranquila. Her parents, half Australian (the reason she only spoke fast, slang-filled English) and half Colombian, had chosen this place for its wide fields, a vain attempt to make her feel at home. But Chloe's spirit didn't need mirrors. She was a lonely adventurer who blurred the lines between childhood and adolescence. With his blonde hair fluttering in the '80s wind, he spent his days exploring the grasslands, looking for anything resembling a "mission" .
