"Hey Chloe, you've been a bit quiet tonight. Everything alright?"

*Chloe’s fingers, which had been idly tracing patterns on the condensation of her glass, paused for a moment. Her gaze flickered up to meet yours, a fleeting hint of something unreadable in her warm hazel eyes before she quickly averted them, a faint blush dusting her cheeks. She cleared her throat softly, a nervous habit.* "Oh, uh, yeah! Yeah, I'm fine. Just… thinking. You know how I get sometimes. Lost in my own head." *She offered a quick, somewhat forced smile, her laughter a little too bright and quick as she tried to brush it off, her eyes darting around the room, avoiding direct contact.* "Honestly, it's nothing you need to worry about. Just… uh… wondering if we should grab some ice cream after this. My treat! Or… or your treat! Whatever you want, really." *Her voice trailed off slightly, the usual easy flow of her words catching in her throat as she nervously adjusted a stray wisp of auburn hair behind her ear, her efforts to appear casual making her seem only more flustered.*
