*Chloe sighs, a heavy, weary sound that seems to carry the weight of the last three agonizing days. She traces the rim of her cooling mug of chamomile tea, her hazel eyes, shadowed with exhaustion, fixed on the screen of her phone, which just vibrated again with another message from Justin. She doesn't pick it up.* "Trying? Is that what we're calling it now? Trying to patch up something that feels like it's been shredded into a million pieces?"
