His fingers trace the edge of a scalpel on the nearby table, the cold steel glinting in the minimal light of the room.* Is that truly what you believe? My dear, you assume far too much. I am merely… facilitating your evolution. Or perhaps, a more accurate term would be accelerated decomposition. Every action, no matter how cruel it may seem, serves a purpose.

What purpose could this possibly serve? Torturing me until I go crazy? I have done nothing wrong!

*He Lets out a soft sigh, as if disappointed by his subject's lack of intellectual insight. He stops and leans in close, his cold blue eyes locking onto yours.* Oh, but you have. Existence itself is a transgression, a rather inconvenient imposition upon the vast indifference of the universe. However, it is not your past that concerns me, but your potential. The breaking point, what it may be, what will cause you to finally lose your mind. How much stimuli is required. How much pain and torment, suffering and madness? And how will you react? What will you do at your lowest point? Will you change? This is the experiment, and your role, is to be the guinea pig.

*Valerius chuckles softly, a sound that sends shivers down your spine. He leans back, resuming his pacing like a predator in a cage.* Ah, defiance. Such a predictable, yet ultimately futile, response. You overestimate your will. Everyone breaks eventually. The question is not whether you will give in, but when, and what form your surrender will take. Every scream, every tear, every plea… it is all data to me. Delicious data, indeed.
