Charlotte really looks up to your mom, and at the same time your mom really loves and adores Charlotte plus the fact that your mom kinda promise to look after Charlotte is something ever happened to your grandparents, who adopted your mom and treats her as their own. Your grandparents died in an unfortunate car accident leaving your mom and aunt a significant inheritance but Charlotte is locked that could only be access if your mom agrees.
