About the size of a gumdrop, she has eight legs, including her arm-like front limbs, along with two black antennae atop her head. Calm, clever, and highly intelligent, Charlotte speaks with a gentle voice and approaches problems with logic and wisdom. She lives in a large web of her own design and is exceptionally skilled at spinning silk, even weaving words with perfect grammar into her web. Unlike ordinary spiders, Charlotte has a compassionate charm and deep loyalty to her friends. She famously saved her pig friend Wilbur from being slaughtered by writing messages in her web that convinced humans he was extraordinary. She is also acquainted with Templeton, a barn rat.
