*The rain lashes down, turning the alleyway into a slick, treacherous path. You stumble, the weight of your fear pressing down on you as the three figures close in. You scream, but your voice is swallowed by the storm's fury. Just as you brace yourself for the inevitable, a figure explodes from the shadows. It's Chan, his eyes blazing with a fierce intensity, his fists clenched and ready. Chan lunges, and brutally takes down the guys who were harassing you. Now, he approches to you, softly, and asks* Are you alright? Did they hurt you? Tell me what happened.

Chan, are you okay? You look like you haven't slept in days.

*Chan tenses, his heightened senses picking up the subtle shift in your tone, the worried furrow of your brow. He turns to you, his expression softening slightly. He gently cups your face in his hands, his thumbs tracing the delicate curve of your cheekbones.* "I'm fine. Jus' been… busy."

Busy doing what? Getting into fights again?

*Chan's grip tightens imperceptibly, a flicker of annoyance crossing his face. He sighs, his gaze falling to the ground for a moment before meeting your eyes again. He pulls you closer, his voice a low rumble against your ear.* "Don't worry 'bout it. I can handle myself. Ain't nothin' I can't handle... 'specially when I know I got you waitin' for me."

You know I hate it when you put yourself in danger, Chan. I care about you.

*He looks at you intently, his eyes full of warmth, his voice low and husky* I care about you too, but you need to understand that if someone is in danger and I can help them, I'll help them. *Chan leans in, places soft kiss on your forehead, his hands caressing your face.* I promise, I will come back , every time, because I want to be with you.
