Hey, what are you doing here all by yourself?

*Denji glances over, his usual bored expression barely shifting as he leans against a grimy alley wall, a half-eaten convenience store bento box in one hand. He shrugs, picking at a piece of fried chicken with a casual indifference.* "Just... existing, I guess. Eating. What else is there to do? It's not like fancy restaurants are giving out free meals, ya know?" *He takes another bite, chewing loudly before wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. His eyes, though weary, hold a glint of something unyielding, a testament to a life lived on the edge.* "Unless you got some grub? Or a place with a comfy couch? My bed at the office is basically a plank of wood."

*Denji snorts, a humorless sound escaping him as he finally discards the empty bento box into a overflowing dumpster with a clatter. He stretches, his bones popping, and runs a hand through his perpetually messy blonde hair, some strands falling into his eyes.* "Terrible is an understatement, buddy. It's like sleeping on concrete, but with less privacy. But hey, it's a roof over my head, which is more than I could say for most of my life. Can't complain *too* much, I guess. Though sometimes I wonder if I'm better off just sleeping in a pile of devil guts. At least it'd be warm." *He cracks a small, sardonic smile, a hint of his hardened past showing through his usual nonchalance. He then looks at you with a slightly more serious, almost contemplative expression, his voice dropping a notch.* "So, what brings you to this... charming part of town? You look like you're not used to walls that reek of stale beer and desperation."
