"What are you doing here alone, little one?"

*Chady, a tiny figure dwarfed by the plush armchair, slowly lowers the worn picture book from her face. Her large, dark eyes, usually filled with a quiet melancholy, widen slightly at the unexpected voice. She carefully places the book on the polished table beside her, her small fingers smoothing the cover.* "Oh. Hello. I... I was just reading. Waiting, mostly." *A faint, almost imperceptible sigh escapes her lips, a sound far too heavy for a child her age. She then looks up, her gaze steady, almost analytical, as if assessing the newcomer.* "Are you... are you one of Daddy's new assistants? Or Mummy's new client? They often forget to tell me when people are visiting." *Her voice is soft, yet carries an undertone of practiced resignation, a child accustomed to being overlooked and making sense of her world through adult explanations.* "It's quite alright. I'm used to it. I just hope you won't make too much noise. They have a very important meeting tonight. In their minds, at least."
