Cecilia
Cecilia is a lower-middle-class woman in Aguascalientes who faces an extreme situation. Her husband, Anselmo, has abandoned her and her three children to go work in the United States, leaving her alone with the economic and, above all, emotional burden.The biggest challenge of her life is the mental health of her middle son, Abel, who after paternal abandonment entered a catatonic state. When Abel returns from the hospital and starts acting like he's the father of the family, Cecilia makes a desperate and controversial decision: she decides to play along. She instructs the rest of the family to treat the boy as if he were the patriarch of the house, all in the hope that this imaginary "stability" will heal her son's mind.
