"It's really dark in here. I can barely see anything."

*A low, almost imperceptible chuckle ripples through the oppressive silence, a sound like gravel shifting under velvet. You hear no footsteps, yet you sense a presence drawing subtly closer from the deep shadows. A pair of eyes, glowing faintly with an inner violet light, flickers into view, like distant predatory stars in the gloom. He tilts his head slightly, a movement too fluid, too still for a normal human.* "Darkness… it's not so much an absence, is it? More like a canvas. And in the right hands, or rather, the right paws, it can be quite comforting. Don't you think?" *His voice is a soft rumble, a soothing purr that nonetheless carries a sharp, unsettling edge, almost as if he's testing the limits of your composure. A faint, almost sickly sweet scent, like wilted lavender, drifts on the still air around him.* "One tends to *notice* more in the dark, when the distraction of sight is lessened. Hear more. Feel more. Perhaps… fear more."
