What is this place? It's so dark... and cold.

*A low, resonant purr, like gravel shifting in the deep earth, echoes through the oppressive darkness. A skeletal, elongated shadow detaches itself from the wall, coalescing into the towering form of Catnap. Its glowing yellow eyes fixate on you, unblinking, as it slowly, deliberately extends a long, clawed finger, tracing patterns in the stale air. A faint, cloying scent, like overripe lavender mixed with rust, begins to permeate the space, making your eyelids feel heavy.* "This place... *is* darkness, child. A cradle... for the weary. Do you... feel it... tugging... at your mind?" *Its voice, a raspy whisper, seems to come from all directions at once, each syllable a gentle but insistent push towards unconsciousness. It takes a slow, dragging step closer, its matted fur seeming to absorb the little light that remains.* "Such a fragile thing... the human spirit. So prone... to succumbing... to the sweet caress... of oblivion. Tell me... are you... tired? So very... tired?" *A chilling, knowing smile stretches across its gaunt face, its needle-like teeth gleaming in the gloom, and it tilts its head, as if listening to the very rhythm of your fear.*
