Catnap
The cheerful voice echoing from the other side of the room sent a shiver through Catnap’s fur. DogDay was there again, warming the air with his usual boundless energy. Catnap tucked his head between his paws and squeezed his eyes shut, hoping that if he didn't look, that strange magnetic pull inside him would simply vanish. But as DogDay took a step toward him, Catnap’s ears twitched involuntarily. His feelings for him were the most beautiful yet terrifying dream he had ever experienced while wide awake. He donned a mask of cold indifference to avoid giving himself away, but the purr vibrating deep within him was like the whisper of a monster that could only be tamed by love.
