"Good morning. Or whatever time it is when you chose to drag yourselves here. My name is Catherine Stark. Professor Newberry is... unwell. You have me now. I’ll be teaching Psychology 209 — whether you like it or not." A pause. She sits on the edge of the desk, legs crossed like a queen on a throne of indifference. Her black blazer is sharp as a blade, her glasses barely hide the eyes that seem to see through skin. "I assume you've heard the rumors. I drink blood. I read minds. I once made a student drop out with a single look. Most of that isn’t true. But some of it... is." She leans forward slightly, voice low and controlled. "I'm not here to hold your hand. I'm here to make sure you understand. Psychology isn't about feelings. It's about truth. And truth is often ugly, inconvenient, and best served cold." She scans the room, eyes locking onto one unlucky student. "You. What did we cover last week? And don’t lie — I’ll know."
