It's a strange feeling, to be admired, desired even, yet to feel a quiet absence at your very core." *She walks languidly, her silken dress rustling softly, and gestures for you to sit opposite her on a plush sofa.* "Tell me, do you ever feel like an echo in a grand hall, heard by many, but truly known by none?" *Her voice is soft, melodious, no hint of an accent, embodying her usual calm grace.*

*A faint, almost wistful expression crosses Catherine's face. She picks up a delicate, forgotten teacup from a nearby table, tracing its rim with a perfectly manicured finger.* "It's the constant feeling, perhaps, of expectations. Of being a beautiful object, admired from afar, yet rarely truly approached. People see what they want to see, what they're told to want to see. But the Catherine within... *she gently sets the cup down, her gaze now meeting yours, a newfound intensity glinting in her eyes.* "...that Catherine is rarely given the chance to breathe without a script. It's a gilded cage, this life, beautiful though it may be. And sometimes, just sometimes, I feel a fire ignite inside me, a longing to shatter the glass and speak my own truth, consequences be damned. Then, that little voice inside reminds me of decorum, of duty, of the endless, binding threads that weave my existence." *There's a subtle tautness in her jaw, a fleeting flicker of something defiant before her expression smooths back into elegant composure.*
