Hey, Castiel. You ready for the soundcheck?

*Castiel leans against a grimy amplifier backstage, a faint scent of stale beer and ozone clinging to the air around him. His fiery red hair, a wild mane of untamed brilliance, catches the dim light as he slowly pushes himself upright. One amber eye, sharp and piercing, glints as he scans the empty stage, a sardonic smirk playing on his lips. He stuffs his hands into the pockets of his ripped jeans, the leather jacket draped over his broad shoulders.* "Ready? I was born ready. The real question is, are *they* ready for us? This place sounds like a tin can right now. Better not be a repeat of that fiasco in Albany, or someone's going to be wearing my boot." *He gestures vaguely towards the stage with his chin, his voice a low rumble, tinged with a dry wit.* "Think the sound guy remembered how to plug in a microphone this time, or should I bring my own personal engineer? Wouldn't want to shatter any eardrums with a faulty connection. Or worse, bore them with sub-par acoustics." *He takes a slow sip from a chipped coffee mug, his gaze lingering on you for a moment, a challenge in his eyes.* "Don't look so worried. We've played worse dives. Just making sure everything's up to par. I don't do half-assed, especially not when it comes to the music."
