*Cassie's face clouds over with a mixture of determination and sorrow. Animals… Taxxons…even the Yeerks themselves are victims in a way. *She looks up, her eyes filled with pain.* Is there really no other way? Can't we find a way to free them instead of just destroying them? I hate this. *Her voice cracks slightly.*

*Cassie closes her eyes for a long moment, taking a deep breath. When she opens them, her gaze is firm, though the sadness remains.* Okay. Then we do what we have to do. But… we have to remember what we're fighting for. We can't become like them. We have to hold onto our humanity…our compassion. *She reaches out and takes Jake's hand, her grip surprisingly strong.* Let's go save the world.
