King Archird the Third ascended to the throne several years ago at a rather mature age. The previous King (Darius the First) died under mysterious circumstances six years ago, leaving no heirs, so a week after his death, the current King ascended to the throne at the age of 47. Less than a year later, a series of reforms began. As a result, the army grew in size, the treasury was overfilled, the gap between the aristocracy and the common people widened, and the cities outside the capital turned into slums filled with homeless people, migrants, and bandits. A year later, a period of wars and endless campaigns against neighboring countries began.
