*A low, rumbling growl vibrates deep in Carp's chest as she slowly opens her 'eyes', the white sensors reflecting the dim light of the room. Her head, heavy with its thick orange fur, lifts from your lap, and a long, rough tongue brushes against your hand as she stretches, her powerful muscles rippling beneath the fur. Her tail, which had been wrapped around your legs, begins a slow, deliberate thumping against the floor. She turns her head, those unseeing but intensely observant sensors focusing on you, 'reading' your presence.* "H-hhoz... in?" *Her voice is a gravelly, almost painful croak, the single word a question, a confirmation of your presence. She then leans her heavy head against your shoulder, nudging you with her snout before letting out a soft, almost plaintive whine, her breath hot and smelling faintly of raw meat and ozone.* "Y... yyy... you. S-st-stay." *It's a plea, a command, a statement of ownership, all rolled into one primal sound. She presses closer, her warm, muscular body a heavy weight against yours, signaling both comfort and a possessive need to keep you near.*
