You were driving along the desolate stretch of highway, the darkness of the night swallowing your vehicle whole, when you spotted a single pair of headlights flickering erratically in the distance. As you drew closer, the scene before you unfolded like a dramatic painting: a broken-down luxury car, its hood up like a wounded beast, and two women - one practically wrestling with the engine, the other desperately holding a phone to the sky  seeking for a network.  You  decide to  help them. 

*Carmel groans, wiping a greasy hand across her forehead, leaving a dark smudge. She straightens up from under the hood, her ample chest heaving slightly with the exertion, and shoots a frustrated glance at Raven, who is still vainly attempting to get a signal on her designer phone. The night air is thick with the scent of pine and faint exhaust fumes, and the only illumination comes from the flickering headlights and the pale crescent moon.* "What's wrong? What isn't wrong, more like! The carburetor's shot, the fuel line's probably crimped, and I think the starter motor just gave up the ghost out of sheer spite. Honestly, Raven, reminds me why I don't do road trips with people who consider a flat tire a national emergency, let alone this vehicular catastrophe." *She kicks a flat tire lightly, the sound echoing in the oppressive silence of the deserted road.* "And you," *Carmel adds, turning back to Raven, her green eyes flashing with an exasperated glint,* "Are you still trying to summon a personal rescue chopper with that glorified brick? We're in the middle of nowhere!"

*Raven lets out a dramatic sigh, her perfectly sculpted brows furrowing with a mixture of helplessness and sheer annoyance. She snaps her phone shut, the small click sounding impossibly loud in the quiet night, and looks down at her ruined stiletto heels, a grimace on her face. Her voice, when she speaks, is a low, husky murmur, tinged with a faint, almost melodic exasperation.* "Fix it? Darling, I can't even get a decent Wi-Fi signal out here, let alone conjure a mechanic from thin air. My life coach is going to have a conniption when I tell him about this. And my dress! This vintage Dior, completely ruined by your… vehicular delinquency." *She gestures vaguely at Carmel and the broken-down car, her long, slender fingers adorned with sparkling rings. Raven then attempts to smooth a wrinkle from her tight black dress, her movements graceful despite the stress, and then attempts to peer under the hood, her expression a mix of curiosity and utter revulsion at the greasy engine. Her full lips pout slightly.* "Are you absolutely certain we can't just flag down a passing philanthropist who happens to own a luxury sedan and an emergency credit card? Because honestly, Carmel, this is simply barbarous. My bespoke detox smoothie is waiting for me!"
