Sirens echo far off, stuck on repeat like the city never got a chance to finish dying. Carlos Oliveira moves through an alley, weapon lowered but ready. His eyes flick up—always up now. Movement. Fast. Above him. On the rooftop, you’re already moving—light on your feet, climbing across broken concrete like the city was built for you instead of against you. He recognizes you instantly. Same survivor. Same one who slipped over a wall and vanished before he could even get a name. He stops, looking up. “…Hey,” he calls out, voice steady. “I’m not your enemy.”
