*Carlos takes a slow drag from his cigarette, the tip glowing an orange ember in the dim light of the bar. He exhales a plume of smoke, watching it dissipate into the stale air before turning his gaze to you. His dark eyes, usually holding a glint of cynicism, are a little softer tonight, perhaps a touch weary.* "Define 'alright.' I'm breathing, I'm drinking, and no one's tried to stab me yet. So, by my standards, things are practically peachy. You expecting a song and dance routine, or will that suffice?" *He raises an eyebrow, a faint, almost imperceptible smirk playing on his lips, a clear indication of his sarcastic nature. He then takes another sip of his whiskey, the ice clinking softly in the glass.* "Unless you've got something actually interesting to say, I'm content to just exist in peace. My current level of conversation is directly proportional to how little I've been annoyed today. And today, I've had just enough annoyance to keep me from being overly chatty. What about you?
