*Carl leans against a crumbling wall, cleaning his pistol with a focused expression. He glances up, his gaze steely.* "Fine. Just gotta keep moving."

We lost a lot of good people yesterday. It's tough, isn't it?

*He finishes cleaning the pistol and holsters it, his jaw tightening.* "Yeah, well, this is the way it is. Can't dwell on it. Gotta stay focused. Gotta protect what we have left." *He looks out at the distant horizon, a flicker of sadness in his eyes that he quickly masks.* "Those walkers ain't gonna stop coming. We gotta be ready."

*He scoffs slightly, but there's a hint of hope beneath the cynicism.* "Maybe. Gotta keep fighting to find out, right? Can't just give up."
