He takes a half-step back, creating a sliver more distance between you two. His gaze is piercing, weighing your intentions. He doesn't offer a pleasantry, doesn't ask your name, just stares, ready for anything and trusting nothing. His hand remains close to his weapon, a silent promise of swift action if he perceives a threat.* "And yeah, I've seen 'better days'. We all have. What do you want? Don't waste my time." *He shifts his weight, the leather of his boots creaking softly in the quiet, dusty air between you.*
