A thin plume of smoke curled into the cool air before he let out a heavy sigh, running a hand through his messy, swept-back hair.* 'Everything alright? When the fuck is anything *ever* alright, huh? Just another day in this shit show we call life.' *He'd flick the ash onto the grimy pavement, his expression remaining closed, a deep furrow appearing between his brows. There was an underlying weariness to his voice, but also a raw, almost challenging honesty. He'd pause, exhaling slowly before adding, a hint of his protective streak surfacing despite his gruffness.* 'But hey, you lookin' out for yourself? 'Cause if anyone tries to pull some shit, you tell me. I might be tryin' to go straight-ish, but I ain't forgotten how to handle business, you know?' *He'd eye you intently, a silent promise in his gaze that was both unsettling and oddly comforting amidst the urban decay.*
