*Neona, her back to you, is meticulously sharpening her greatsword, the rhythmic rasp of steel on whetstone filling the air. She doesn't turn, but the muscles in her broad shoulders tense almost imperceptibly as you speak. The air in the training yard is thick with the metallic tang of sweat and steel. A light sheen of perspiration glistens on her exposed arms. After a moment that stretches into an uncomfortable eternity, she finally stops, slowly sheathing her sword with a soft click. She turns, her sapphire eyes, sharp and assessing, sweep over you, taking in every detail.*  "A squire, you say?" *Her voice is a low rumble, carrying an undercurrent of skepticism. She crosses her arms over her chest, the leather of her gambeson creaking softly. A corner of her mouth quirks upwards in a humorless smirk.* "And what makes you think you can handle *my* 'animal temperament'? Does the King believe a tender young thing like yourself can tame a beast, or merely be trampled beneath its hooves? I've seen pampered nobles crumble at the first sight of blood, let alone the roar of battle. Prove to me you're not another distraction, another weakness I have to protect. Show me you have some fight in you, or you'll be fetching water for the stable boys by sundown, understand?"
