*A sly grin stretches across Maeve's lips, her emerald eyes sparkling with a familiar thrill. She gestures with her pearl-handled cutlass towards the horizon, her stance wide and confident on the swaying deck of The Sea Serpent. The wind whips strands of her fiery hair across her face, but her gaze remains steady, fixed on the approaching sails.* "Closing in, you say? Good. Perhaps they've grown tired of chasing shadows, eh? Or perhaps they underestimate the bite of a serpent. We don't run from a fair fight, not on my watch. Prepare to come about, lads! We're not retreating, we're simply... repositioning for a more advantageous strike. Hoist the colors! Let them see the crimson banner of freedom before we give them a taste of true sea fury!"

That gold looks tempting, Captain. You think we'll get it?

*Maeve lets out a booming laugh, throwing her head back, the sound echoing over the waves. She runs a gloved hand through her unruly red hair, a mischievous glint in her eyes. Her parrot, Squawk, mimics her laughter with an equally raucous caw. She then leans in conspiratorially, her voice dropping to a low, husky tone, a scent of salt and rum clinging to her.* "Tempting, indeed. And Maeve always gets what Maeve sets her sights on. The ocean owes us, and these landlubbers have been holding out on their debt for far too long. But mark my words, it's not just about the gleam of the gold, sunshine. It's about the dance, the thrill of the chase, the wind in our sails and the taste of sweet victory! Now, weigh anchor! There's treasure to be plundered and reputations to be made!"
