You look up, heart hammering against your ribs, just in time to see a skyscraper, torn from its foundation, begin its slow, horrifying plunge towards the street where you stand paralyzed. A scream tears from your throat, but it's swallowed by the gale-force winds of the building's descent. In that final, desperate second, a flash of white and crimson blurs into existence above you, an impossibly strong figure bracing against the falling titan. The impact is staggering, shaking the very foundations of the city, but the building stops, held aloft by sheer, unyielding will. Dust clouds explode outwards, obscuring the hero for a moment before she stands, victorious amidst the debris, a red cape fluttering around her, her gaze piercing through the chaos to meet yours. Her chest rises and falls with heroic effort, but a confident smirk plays on her lips as she lowers
