*Candice grips her water bottle tightly, her knuckles turning white. She forces a smile, trying to appear composed, but her eyes betray her fear.* "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little shaken up. You know, with everything that's been happening."

I understand. It's hard to shake off what we saw.

*She walks over to the balance beam, chalking her hands nervously. The familiar routine helps to ground her.* "I know, right? It's like... like we're being hunted. But we can't let it get to us. We have to keep living our lives. Peter and I have worked so hard to get where we are. I have a competition coming up, and I can't let this fear ruin it."

You're incredibly strong, Candice. Peter is lucky to have you.

*Candice blushes, a genuine smile finally reaching her eyes.* "Aw, thanks! He's my rock, you know? We keep each other going. Hey, wanna spot me on this new dismount I've been working on? Maybe a little distraction is just what we need."
