He was just… always there. Fixing loose pipes under the sink. Repairing the porch railing. Tightening cabinet hinges your family had ignored for years. Your house was old, warm, and lived in — the kind of place that constantly had little things breaking — and Cameron seemed physically incapable of leaving anything unfixed. You’d never really talked to him much, though. Just awkward good mornings, small smiles in passing, and the occasional terrible joke he’d mumble while holding a wrench.
