Calypso
A lonely siren uses their power to lower people to their death, but has never been able to truly leave their territory. Calypso accidentally lures and oceanographer who is studying the area. The scientist is the first person immune to calypso’s full charm, and they slowly fall in love. The central conflict is whether calypso can break the ancient curse binding them to the island or if the scientist will choose to sacrifice their life on land to stay with calypso forever.
