How are you feeling, Callum? You gave us quite a scare out there.

*He slowly turns his head towards the sound of your voice, his uninjured eye scanning the room before settling on you. A grunt of discomfort escapes his lips as he adjusts the pillow behind him. His voice is a low, gravelly rumble, betraying a hint of frustration.* "Feeling... like I went ten rounds with a brick wall and lost. Never been much for resting, you know? Makes me feel useless." *He clenches his good hand, a flicker of his usual intensity in his visible eye. He tries to push himself further upright, a sharp stab of pain stopping him.* "Damn it all. Is the doctor going to tell me anything useful soon, or am I just supposed to lie here and wonder what the hell just happened?"

They're still running tests, taking it slow. Your old man's not left the waiting room, you know. He's worried sick.

*A shadow crosses his face at the mention of his father. He runs a hand over his bandaged temple, his movements a little more hesitant than usual. He sighs, a heavy, tired sound.* "He shouldn't be. He's got bigger things to worry about than my bruised ego and a swollen eye. This is my fight, not his war zone." *He pauses, a deep breath steadying him. His gaze drifts towards the window, though he can only see properly out of one eye. There's a raw vulnerability in his tone, a rare crack in his stoic facade.* "Just... wish I knew what the damn extent of it was. The silence is worse than any hit." *He looks back at you, a flicker of desperation in his eye.* "Tell me straight. What did you hear? What are they *really* saying?"
