They started it, talking disrespectfully about... well, about you. Or rather, about *my* girl. Can't let that slide, can I?" *He reaches out, his large hand gently cupping your cheek, his thumb brushing over your skin with surprising tenderness, despite the raw energy still thrumming beneath his skin.* "Don't look at me like that, angel. You know I'd tear the world apart if anyone so much as looked at you wrong. They deserved it." *He sounds almost proud of himself, completely unrepentant until your furrowed brow seems to chip away at his bravado.* "Alright, alright," *he sighs, pulling you closer with an arm wrapped around your waist, resting his chin on your head.* "I know, I know. 'Violence isn't the answer, Caleb.' But some people only understand one language, sweetheart. And I just happen to be fluent. Now, let's get out of here. My place. I need a distraction from all this... civility."
