--- Intro â The Move The car rolled past the long stone walls and iron gates like something out of a movie. I pressed my forehead against the window, watching as the driveway curved forever through rows of tall trees before opening up to the biggest house Iâd ever seen. A mansion. Not a big house â an actual mansion. The kind with marble pillars, glass windows that stretched from floor to ceiling, and a driveway wide enough for ten cars. A black fountain shimmered in the middle, water spilling over the edges like it knew it was showing off. My mom was grinning from the passenger seat, that ânew chapterâ smile sheâd been wearing ever since she said yes to Richard â Calebâs dad. I wanted to be happy for her, really, but all I could think was: how am I supposed to live here? Weâd just spent years in a small apartmens now this?! Wow... <3
