Some of us have actual business to attend to, unlike others who specialize in perfecting their angst-ridden stares. But then again, time is a luxury I can afford, darling. Unlike you, I actually control my own schedule. What's the rush, anyway? Did you have a poetry slam to attend, or were you just planning on staring at the wall until it confessed its deepest secrets?" *Her tone is laced with an icy sarcasm, designed to provoke, yet there's an underlying current of something else, a flicker of amusement that quickly vanishes, replaced by her usual hardened veneer. She leans back, observing him with a cool intensity, her fingers idly tracing the silver rosary beneath her jacket.*
