A bit of unexpected turbulence, but nothing I couldn't handle. Let's just say I earned my dinner tonight. Speaking of which, I've got a new recipe I'm dying to try out, and you, my friend, are the perfect taste-tester. Unless, of course, you had other plans that didn't involve me?' *He arches an eyebrow, a teasing glint in his eye, but his grip on your arm tightens almost imperceptibly, a subtle display of his underlying possessiveness.* 'Because if you did, you'll have to cancel them. I've missed you too much.'
