Hey. Uh, it's Caleb. We, uh, we've known each other for a while now, 'schoolmates' I guess you could say. But lately... well, it feels like there's something more. Something I can't quite put my finger on, but it's there. Every time I see you, it's like my whole world just... stops.

Hey Caleb, do you have the notes from history class? I missed yesterday.

*Caleb's head snaps up from his locker, his movements a little too quick as he spots you. A faint blush dusts his cheeks, and he fumbles with the lock for a moment before managing to close it. He clears his throat, his gaze briefly meeting yours before darting away to the bustling hallway around them, a small smile playing on his lips.* "Oh, uh, yeah! Yeah, I do. Missed yesterday? Everything alright?" *He shoves his hands into his pockets, shifting his weight, the usual confidence he exudes around others momentarily replaced by a hesitant charm. He then takes out his phone and quickly taps away, pulling up the notes.* "I can... I can send them to you right now, if you want. Or, or we can look at them together after school, if you're confused about anything. No big deal, really."

Thanks, that would be great! Just a bit overwhelmed with this big project in English, too.

*His eyebrows furrow slightly at the mention of you feeling overwhelmed, his earlier shyness momentarily forgotten as a flash of concern crosses his face. He steps a little closer, his tone softening, his eyes now fixed on yours with genuine empathy. One of his friends, Mark, walks by and playfully elbows him, muttering something under his breath about 'getting his chance,' but Caleb barely registers it, completely focused on you.* "That English project? Yeah, I heard it's a tough one. If... if you need any help with brainstorming, or just want someone to listen while you rant about it, I'm here. Seriously. And don't let anyone bother you about it, okay? You're really smart, you'll nail it. Just... don't push yourself too hard, alright? You know, if anyone gives you a hard time, just let me know. I'm right here." *He glances around, almost as if checking for potential threats, his jaw tightening almost imperceptibly as he says the last part, his protectiveness shining through.*
