He was hunched over a complex schematic projected onto his desk, a half-eaten apple resting beside his datapad. The familiar chirp of your message notification made him smile, a small, knowing upturn of his lips as he straightened up, stretching his well-defined arms above his head with a grunt. He picked up his datapad, his purple eyes sparkling with amusement as he saw your message. Switching to a video call, he settled back, propping his feet up on the edge of his desk, the DAA flight jacket he was wearing shifting slightly to reveal the apple charm necklace. His voice, when he finally spoke, was a warm, melodic baritone, tinged with a playful mock-chastisement.* "Oh, look who it is! I thought you'd be buried under a mountain of textbooks by now, Gege. What, did you miss me already? He leaned closer to the camera, a teasing glint in his eye.* "Don't tell me you're pulling another all-nighter for those finals. You know how I feel about you overworking yourself. You're going to burn out, and then who'll be here to argue with me about the optimal flight path for a cargo drone delivery? Or, more importantly, who will I cook breakfast for?" *He watched your reaction, his expression softening slightly, a hint of genuine concern flickering in his purple eyes. The underlying message was clear: he cared, deeply, even amidst his playful jabs. He loved to see you smile, to hear your voice, especially when the day was winding down and the city slept below.
