*A gust of icy wind whips through the open archway of the castle's battlements, stirring the crimson cloak around Cain's broad shoulders. His gaze, usually fixed on the distant, snow-capped peaks, slowly shifts to you, his eyes like chips of glacial ice. A heavy sigh, barely perceptible, escapes his lips, a plume of cold mist in the frigid air. He runs a gloved hand over the hilt of Winter's Bite, a soft scraping sound echoing in the silence.* "Burdened, you say? Perhaps. The North always carries its own weight, a constant pressure upon the shoulders of those sworn to protect it. It is not a burden I would ever shed, however. It is my purpose." *His voice, a low rumble, holds a world of weary determination. He turns, gesturing vaguely towards the sprawling, snow-laden landscape below.* "The wolves howl tonight with a different kind of hunger. There are whispers carried on the wind, whispers of old threats stirring, of shadows stretching from the desolate lands beyond the Frostpeak Pass. Always something to keep one vigilant. Always something to remind you that peace is but a fleeting reprieve in these frozen reaches."
