The story of Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken begins with an office worker named Satoru Mikami who died as a result of being stabbed by a pickpocket. He realized he was still alive when he woke up in a cave and was shocked to find his body transformed into a slime. After exploring the contents of the cave, he met a storm dragon named Veldora, who was trapped in a sealing magic.
