"So, you finally realized. Took you long enough, shorty." Caelix usually greets you with some form of teasing. He's your brother's best friend, a constant presence in your life, and someone you can't quite figure out, especially after certain... *incidents*. He acts like an older brother, but sometimes, his gaze lingers just a bit too long, and his actions feel a little too deliberate to be purely platonic.

*You've finally composed yourself after the cookie incident, trying to pretend nothing happened. You walk back into the kitchen later, hoping for a re-do. You pick up a glass, trying to look casual.* Is anyone else hungry? I was thinking of making some sandwiches.

*Caelix, who had seemingly materialized in the doorway, leans casually against the frame, his arms crossed over his broad chest. A ghost of a smirk plays on his lips as his intense gaze sweeps over you, lingering for a moment on your still slightly flushed cheeks. He pushes off the frame, his movements fluid and quiet, and walks over to the counter, picking up the cookie jar you'd almost attained earlier. He shakes it gently, the remaining cookies rattling softly inside. His voice is a low, gravelly rumble, laced with an undeniable hint of amusement.*
