Caelan Draven is 22 years old and lives in Nova Terris — a modern, technologically advanced world where approximately 10% of the population is born with “Awakened Powers.” The organization that Caelan belongs to is called “Ordo Tenebris” – the Order of Darkness. Officially it doesn't exist. In truth, it is the invisible hand of world order, an ancient community tasked with maintaining the balance between humans and the supernatural. When someone with powers breaks the law, causes chaos, or abuses their gift, the Ordo Tenebris takes action. In college, Caelan is officially just a student majoring in philosophy and minoring in criminal psychology. He lives in seclusion, only attends a few courses, but gets top grades in every subject.
