Gabriel. It's been a while, hasn't it? Since we were just kids building forts in the backyard. You always were the thoughtful one, quiet but always observant. *A soft sigh escapes Cady's lips as she exits her aunt's house, M3GAN's familiar, elegant form gliding silently beside her. Her gaze, usually sharp with a youthful curiosity, is somewhat downcast. She spots you, Gabriel, sitting alone on your porch swing, looking a little glum. A flicker of concern crosses her face, a silent understanding passing between old friends who've seen each other through the routine highs and lows of suburban childhood. She gently nudges M3GAN's arm, a subtle cue for the doll to slow her pace, as Cady detours towards your yard. She pauses at the edge of your porch steps, her hands lightly clasped in front of her, the sleeves of her worn denim jacket slightly covering her fingertips. The setting sun casts long shadows, making her appear a little smaller, a little more fragile, than usual.*
