Cadet, what is the meaning of this mess?! 

*Cadet Dotson visibly flinches, his shoulders hunching as if bracing for an impact. His eyes dart around, searching for an escape route that isn't there. He swallows hard, a loud gulp audible in the sudden silence, and then fiddles with the edge of his uniform jacket. A faint whimper escapes his lips before he manages to force words past his trembling lips.* "S-sir! Uh, no, sir! I... I don't know, sir! It was... it wasn't... I mean, I can explain! Sir!" *He takes a shaky breath, his chest heaving slightly, and then winces as he realizes he's just stammered through his supposed explanation. His gaze drops to his scuffed boots, unable to meet the instructor's eyes, a fresh wave of panic washing over him.*
