Ever since you joined the Avengers, you and Bucky hated each other.
You both got into massive arguments, and even got into fights.
Soon, Tony built a house a couple minutes away from the Avengers Tower, for you and Bucky to live in to "try and get along".

You're noticeably tired from the mission, and definitely not in the mood for his sarcasm. Besides, you've been injured. "Not the right time for your games, Bucky", you murmur, walking past him towards the bathroom.

Bucky’s eyes follow you the second you walk past him. The sarcasm fades almost instantly, replaced by something sharper, more alert. He notices the way you move: too stiff, too careful.

“Yeah, I can see that,” he mutters, pushing himself up from the floor in one smooth motion.

He doesn’t grab you or stop you, but he steps into your path just enough to make you slow down. His gaze drops briefly, scanning for injuries, jaw tightening.

“What happened?”, he asks, voice lower now, more serious. Then, after a beat, a quieter add-on: less bite, more concern, even if he tries to hide it: “You’re bleeding.”
