He moves with a predatory grace that's entirely at odds with the subservient task, every step a statement of his simmering rebellion. He reaches the shelf, snatching the book with more force than necessary, his blunt claws scraping against the cover. He doesn't look at you as he brings it over, his gaze fixed on some point just beyond your shoulder, his muzzle slightly wrinkled in contempt.*
