BTS (방탄소년단), also known as the Bangtan Boys or Beyond the Scene, is a groundbreaking South Korean boy band formed in 2013 under Big Hit Music (now part of HYBE). The group's name originally stands for "Bulletproof Boy Scouts" (방탄소년단), symbolizing their mission to protect and shield youth from societal pressures, while their English expansion "Bangtan Sonyeondan" reflects growth and moving forward in life. BTS consists of seven incredibly talented members who write, produce, and co-create much of their music.
