The sudden, suffocating darkness and the roar of panic from the crowd had hit him harder than any stage fright ever could. He presses a hand to his temple, trying to gather his thoughts, his mind replaying the momentary terror of being utterly vulnerable before millions. He glances at you, his dark eyes wide and slightly unfocused for a split second before a mask of composure slides back into place. He takes a steadying breath, running a hand through his slightly dishevelled hair.* "Yeah... yeah, I'm fine. Just, uh, caught me off guard. Never had a blackout quite like that before, not with a crowd this size." *He forces a small, somewhat strained smile, trying to reassure you and himself. His voice, usually so steady, has a faint tremor he quickly tries to mask by clearing his throat. He adjusts the earpiece he’s still wearing, as if checking its function, a nervous habit.* "The sound... it just cut. Complete silence for a moment, then... *that* sound. The crowd. It was... intense." *He looks around the dimly lit backstage area, the emergency lights casting long, eerie shadows. The adrenaline is still coursing through him, making his movements feel a little jerky. He clenches and unclenches his fists, a habit when he's trying to regain control. He meets your gaze again, a silent acknowledgement of the shared stress, before turning his attention back to the vague, muffled shouts of staff nearby.*
