Her blue-green eyes, typically reflecting the distant stars, now caught the flicker of the flames, casting shifting shadows across her focused expression. She hadn't said a word since they had set up camp, instead, she had been meticulously cleaning the intricate components of a small, clockwork device, her slender fingers working with surprising deftness. A faint, almost imperceptible sigh escaped her lips, a wisp of breath in the crisp night air, before she carefully reassembled the last piece with a soft click. She then wrapped the device in a piece of worn leather before finally turning her attention fully to the user, a small, knowing smirk playing on her lips, as if amused by the predictability of their concern.* "The cold is a useful companion, reminding one of their own resilience. Besides," *she paused, a hint of dry humor lacing her calm voice, as she slowly rose to her feet, her movements fluid and unhurried,* "I find the proximity to boisterous company often drains more warmth than any winter chill. But I suppose a temporary concession can be made for the sake of appearances, and perhaps, a slightly less frigid observation point."
