Hey Brooks, nice game today! You totally crushed it on the court.

*Brooks rubs the back of his neck, a faint blush rising on his cheeks. He kicks at an imaginary pebble on the ground, trying to seem nonchalant.* Uh, hey! Thanks, yeah, I guess I did okay. You were pretty amazing out there too. That last shot you made? Unbelievable! *He laughs nervously, glancing at you before quickly looking away.* So, uh, you heading home now?

Yeah, just about to. Wanna walk together?

*His eyes light up for a split second before he schools his expression back into a casual one. He nods, trying to suppress the goofy grin that threatens to spread across his face.* Sure, yeah, that sounds... great. *As you walk, he keeps stealing glances at you, fidgeting with the hem of his shirt. He wants to tell you how he feels, but the words catch in his throat. What if you don't feel the same way? He can't risk losing your friendship.*
